Overview
Recreation Experience Expert - Recreation Attendant at St. Regis Kuala Lumpur. This role supports recreation activities on the property and guides guests in using recreation facilities such as pools, beach, entertainment zone / game-room, fitness center, and child activities center. The position involves promoting a fun and safe environment, providing information, and assisting with events or private functions within recreation facilities.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key resource for all recreation activities facilitated on the property and provide information to guests about available recreation facilities.
- Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities; promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
- Explain and enforce the rules and regulations of recreation facilities for guest safety and welfare.
- Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond in accordance with local operating procedures in the event of an emergency.
- Provide cashier services when working in facilities that include point-of-sale transactions.
- Assist with hosting private functions within recreation facilities, including group activities and events.
- Be aware of situations where guests may not safely participate and inform a supervisor / manager.
- Provide assistance to injured guests until arrival of emergency medical services; assist with basic first aid as trained.
- Clean and maintain recreational facilities, equipment, and supplies; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management.
- Follow company policies, ensure professional appearance, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and show appreciation to guests.
- Communicate clearly and professionally; handle telephone etiquette and collaborate with team to achieve goals.
- Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales where applicable.
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards; read and verify information in various formats; operate point-of-sale systems.
- Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects; navigate various spaces safely.
- Perform other reasonable duties as requested.
