Overview
The IT Workplace / Infrastructure Corporate Trainee will provide day-to-day support to employees. This includes desktops, applications, project, video conferencing and telephony systems support for the organization. Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and repairing the computer and network infrastructure of Commerz Global Service Solutions. Explores technical solutions, determines the applicability to Commerz Global Service Solutions, and makes recommendations for deployment.
This role also includes knowledge of the security framework and system. The IT Corporate Trainee must be team oriented, able to organize their own activities, work autonomously and with full accountability.
Key activities
- Workplace Infrastructure Support - Perform technical installation, troubleshooting, fault resolutions and / or escalations of workplace infrastructure such as messaging, file and print, video conferencing & telephony systems and Microsoft Operating System support for all Commerz Global Service Solutions users.
- Workstation & Peripheral Support - Manage end-user infrastructure support / configuration covering endpoints and mobile devices.
- Provide remote assistance for all end-user applications and hardware support (Microsoft 365, XenApp, etc.).
- Assist in relocation of equipment within the company when required.
- Document IT-related guidelines and manuals for the organization.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems.
- Implement the Bank’s IT and IS standards in the organization.
- Conduct local organization data security and personnel security internal control; drive employee awareness, training and compliance standards for the company.
- Responsible for all incident / request tickets raised in Service Now and ensure timely closure based on SLA.
- Identify IT security vulnerabilities in the organization’s network and follow procedures for handling vulnerabilities.
- Coordinate and / or perform penetration testing and patching.
- Perform routine system tasks including hardware / software inventory.
- Servers & Network Support - Install, configure, test, and maintain network-related operating systems, applications / software / management tools.
- Provide first-level support for LAN & WAN networks.
- Manage and monitor all installed network appliances, systems, and related IT infrastructure (cloud and on-premise).
- Ensure high levels of network connectivity and infrastructure availability and escalate to the appropriate level in a timely manner.
- Monitor network / system usage and health status in compliance with security policies.
Qualifications
Formal Education : Relevant professional training / qualifications in networking / computer studies.Specialist Knowledge (work experience, further qualification) : Preferably Entry Level specialized in Information Technology or equivalent. No work experience required. Minimum CGPA is 3.0 pointer.Strong team player with strong interpersonal and communicative skills.Required language(s) : Fluent verbal and written English.Required Skill(s) : MS Office and related tools.Additional
Proficient in Microsoft 365, XenApp.Experience in deployment / support / management of mainstream industry solutions (Cisco, Firewall, Citrix, Bluecoat, etc.) is an added advantage.Knowledge of data protection regulations when dealing with IT in own area of responsibility within the Bank.Note : Successful candidates will be employed on a 12-month contract directly under Commerz Global Service Solutions Sdn Bhd. Upon completion of the Corporate Trainee Program, permanent employment will be offered based on the overall performance evaluation throughout the 12 months program.
