Overview UCT is looking for a talented
Manager, Category Management
to join us in
Malaysia . This position is responsible for establishing the strategic vision and operational priorities to support current and projected growth, ensuring that the supply chain meets our business and operational needs. The role leads Southeast Asia strategic supply chain organization which includes strategic materials program strategy, commodity management, supply chain program management & value analysis engineering functions.
Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of the supply chain strategies for strategic programs and major corporate initiatives with focus on the future direction of UCT’s semiconductor equipment.
Design the supply chain (selection, qualification, and development) that meets our strategic and operational KPI goals.
Build & develop supply chain for Southeast Asia to support our manufacturing sites both in Singapore & Malaysia respectively.
Establish OEM components supplier / distribution relationships within Asia to increase supply chain agility.
Part of the Strategic Global SCM leadership escalation team supporting any critical supply line issues.
Timely implement inventory stocking programs with suppliers to reduce lead-times, inventory cost, turns and cash flow.
Drive localization by site with BCP plan to ensure continuity of supply for Build-to-Print Commodity.
Drive supply chain performance in achieving cost, delivery, quality, time-to-market objectives.
Collaborate and work closely with our customers on source change strategy & build business justifications to mitigate supply risk and assure business continuity.
Create and enforce business processes that ensure timely, accurate, and automated data flow (collection, processing, storage, and analysis).
Lead supply chain transition of project / products transfers from US, Singapore to Malaysia and ensure QCD goals are successfully met.
Champion and support the implementation - roll out SAP for SCM Southeast Asia.
Other Duties
Ability to travel between Penang, Malaysia & Singapore regularly as needed.

Educational / Certification Requirement
BS / BSE level degree in Supply Chain, Business, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline required.
Experience Requirement Work Experience
Minimum 2 years directly related experience.
Previous work experience in category management build to print (BTP) parts, preferably cable and harness or PCBs; procurement, contracting, materials management, logistics, manufacturing, quality, account management.
Certification by NAPM (National Association of Purchasing Management) and / or APICS (American Production and Inventory Control Society) a plus.
