About Our Client

Our client is a reputable financial institution with a strong track record and expertise in Malaysia and across the region.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategies to grow the financial sponsors segment within the corporate and investment banking department.
  • Monitor investment trends in both private equity and other sectors, identifying commercial opportunities.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with key financial sponsors and institutional clients.
  • Identify opportunities for cross‑selling and delivering comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to structure and execute complex transactions, such as M&A advisory, leveraged buyouts and / or equity syndications.
  • Identify Income‑Producing Real Estate (IPRE) opportunities including portfolio‑level term loans, green / sustainable real estate funding and REIT‑related structures.
  • Provide market insights and strategic advice to clients on industry trends and investment opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies in all client dealings.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance against targets and KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team to support the sector's objectives.

    • The Successful Applicant

    A Successful Sector Head, Financial Sponsors, Should Have

  • A strong background in corporate and / or investment banking.
  • Proven expertise in managing client relationships and structuring financial transactions.
  • Excellent understanding of market trends and financial products.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams.
  • A previous track‑record with Property related transactions will be highly desirable.
