Overview

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (E&I) – Permanent contract

Location : SELANGOR HALAL HUB PULAU INDAH INDUSTRIAL PARK SE, LOT 57 JALAN SUNGAI PINANG 4 3KS11, PORT KLANG, 42920, Malaysia

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to further strengthen our Maintenance department at Oleon.

As a Maintenance Technician you are required to execute all tasks related to preventive maintenance as well as troubleshooting in order to ensure reliability of the plant on a daily basis.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce strict adherence to Oleon’s Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, including permit-to-work, LOTO, and electrical safety procedures
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to prevent electrical hazards
  • Ensure safe operation, monitoring, and control of the plant’s electrical distribution system, substations, switchgears, and panels

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Perform regular inspection, servicing, and maintenance of electrical systems to ensure reliability and minimize downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical faults, equipment failures, and power disruptions efficiently

    • Emergency Response

  • Provide on-call support during breakdowns or power-related emergencies to ensure continuity of plant operations
  • Lead safe restoration of power supply in coordination with the maintenance team

    • Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance activities, and compliance reports for regulatory audits
  • Support audits by Suruhanjaya Tenaga and internal HSE teams

    • Collaboration & Support

  • Work closely with maintenance technicians, production teams, and engineering to ensure safe and reliable plant operations
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and supervision to junior technicians when required

    • Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve energy efficiency and equipment reliability
  • Support projects and modifications related to electrical systems

    • Others

  • Operation & Supervision of Electrical Installations
  • Comply with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) requirements at all times

    • Your profile

  • At least a SPM / "O" Level / Skills Certificate / Diploma in any related field and a valid Chargeman Certificate of Competency (minimum BO or equivalent) issued by Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission)
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing, chemical, or utilities environment
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining high- and low-voltage equipment, switchgears, transformers, motors, and distribution systems
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance systems, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis
  • Strong knowledge of electrical safety standards, statutory requirements, and permit-to-work systems
  • Ability to work in hot environments, at height, and in physically demanding conditions
  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions during emergencies
  • Proactive, responsible, and detail-oriented in managing electrical systems
  • Team player with the ability to work closely with all functional teams within the plant
  • Willingness to work in shifts, on-call, and during non-office hours when required
  • Willingness to work in Pulau Indah, Port Klang
