1.0 Job Summary
The Kitchen Steward is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, ensuring all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes are clean and properly stored. The role also involves waste management and assisting in kitchen operations as needed.
2.0 Key Responsibilities
Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and surfaces.
Collect and dispose of kitchen waste appropriately.
Properly store cleaned items in designated areas.
Assist chefs and kitchen staff as needed.
Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Director of Culinary.
Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
3.0 Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a similar role is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail. Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical stamina to lift heavy items.
