Responsibilities
- Source and negotiate with local and international suppliers to obtain the most competitive pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, from issuing purchase orders (POs) to monitoring delivery timelines, ensuring timely availability of materials.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., production, planning, engineering, QA / QC) to understand procurement requirements and ensure alignment.
- Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
- Maintain and regularly update the purchasing database, supplier profiles, and material master data in SAP.
- Conduct quarterly evaluations of supplier performance, addressing issues related to quality, delivery, and service.
- Ensure full compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and procurement best practices.
- Support and ensure proper documentation and process flow in line with ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
- Prepare, submit, and manage applications to government and regulatory bodies, including :
SIRIM – Product certification, testing reports, labeling requirements
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) – Device certificationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.Authority
Authorized to issue Purchase Orders and update Material Master Data.Manage logistics and shipping arrangements from PO issuance to arrival at warehouse or project site.Follow up and coordinate the collection and verification of Delivery Orders (DOs) and related documents.Requirements
Education :
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.Experience :
Minimum 5 years of working experience in a purchasing / procurement role, preferably in a manufacturing, trading, or electronics / electrical industry.Technical Skills :
SAP SystemGood understanding of ERP systems and procurement workflowsProficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant MS Office toolsLanguage :
