We are looking for a Field Service Engineer, Power Distribution in Eaton’s electrical business, based in Malaysia, Johor Bahru, Kulai. Eaton’s values emphasize safety, health, wellness, inclusion and diversity.

Responsibilities
- Service Engineer is responsible for providing after-sales technical and services support. Provide technical advice, recommend scheduled overhauls and lifecycle parts replacement. Assist in product rollout and start-up, maintain equipment and resolve faults as required.
- Ensure 24x7 standby services through a rotational duty schedule. May provide support in a pre-sales through post-sales capacity.
- Products include but are not limited to transformers, medium voltage switchgear, Ring-Main-Unit (RMU), and Air-Circuit-Breaker (ACB).
- Technical and administrative support activities including installation, testing, commissioning, repair, modifications, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and engineering change upgrades.
- Maintain adequate records, communicate with design management and specialists to resolve technical problems.
- Serve as the single point of contact for specific service contracts, interfacing with customer organizations and driving additional sales in those contracts.
- Maintain customer relationships to deliver best-in-class services and ensure high service quality.
- Provide timely, professional, accurate, and service-oriented responses to all technical service inquiries.
- Identify and isolate equipment start-up malfunctions and take corrective action.
- Provide on-the-job training for customer personnel and possibly dealers in equipment operation and maintenance.
- Represent the company in a customer support role and ensure customer satisfaction with equipment and servicing.
- Prepare daily logs and reports of work performed; manage workflow documents and maintain proper practices for documentation; communicate effectively with customers.
- Analyze and advise on customers’ existing equipment status and recommended replacement schedules; interface with customers internally and externally.
- Analyze complex engineering problems and offer effective resolutions; interact with all engineering disciplines, project engineers and clients; collaborate with cross-functional teams within Engineering, Sales, and Product.
- Commitment to Quality Management System (QMS) : implement the process approach and risk-based thinking, support QMS implementation and sustainment, communicate the importance of conforming to QMS, ensure QMS goals are met and support continuous improvement.
