Guidewire Services Centre (GSC) was established to help meet a growing global customer demand for expertise in implementing Guidewire products, currently being used by customers who are household names globally. GSC is looking for smart, proactive, and results-oriented graduate / junior software developers to join the team in Kuala Lumpur.

We build innovative solutions for the property & casualty (P&C) insurance industry's complex business domain and make our industry-leading products even better. We are looking for enthusiastic graduate / junior developers who are passionate about building high quality software, and working with great people to improve our customers' experience for millions of users worldwide.

As a GSC software consultant, you will learn and master Guidewire's products, trained and certified to perform configuration and integration of our products, provide technical consulting, and become a subject matter expert. You will partner with on-site consultants and client teams to understand business objectives and integration requirements. You will configure Guidewire applications and develop business rules using Guidewire tools. You will develop custom integration programs to connect Guidewire applications with other internal and external systems using Java and XML. You will execute configuration / integration tests including monitoring incidents and resolving application issues.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with some of the largest insurance companies all over the world. Passionate about solving complex technical problems and working with some of the biggest financial services companies across the world

Focus on writing good quality code that follows industry standards and best practice

Interested in building genuine relationship with the customers and work in a role that values communication and effective presentation skills

Effective communicators, ability to articulate perspectives and support ideas with substantiated reasoning, coupled with intellectual humility and a strong desire for continuous learning

Who Are We Looking For?

Fresh / Recent graduate with BSc in Computer Science or equivalent from a third level or higher education institution

Understanding of programming languages and grounding in Java, C# or C++

Strong foundation in Object-Oriented Programming principles

Awareness of Web services (e.g. REST, etc.), Cloud Services (e.g. AWS)

Eligible to work in Malaysia and available for critical business travel if needed

Good English communication skills, proficiency in any other languages e.g. Chinese or Japanese language (spoken and written) is an added advantage
