As a Principal Technical Consultant (BASE24 eps) in Malaysia, you will join a diverse, passionate team dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry.
This role's purpose is to ensure new and existing ACI customers receive first-class delivery service aligned with expectations and contractual agreements. It focuses on identifying and developing customer solutions using company products, outsourced services, and proprietary tools / techniques. It involves defining needs, crafting project delivery plans, and serving as a trusted consultant. Performance is evaluated based on utilization (billable hours) and the successful implementation of tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client’s business needs, integrate client’s business strategies, and recommend appropriate information technology solutions utilizing ACI’s methodologies.
- Conduct analysis of corporate objectives, critical success factors, business functions and processes.
- Plan, integrate and manage the implementation of new technology.
- Solve highly technical and complex problems for projects.
- Guide and provide ultimate technical direction for projects.
- Support regional product business development and sales efforts for a particular territory, industry or account.
- Meet with prospective, current and former clients describing and defining ACI’s services as they relate to the area of specialty.
- Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge and understanding of the product set and business knowledge.
- Guide customers with their implementation efforts to ensure successful product adoption.
- Anticipate risks or business situations and take action to prepare for mitigation actions and contingencies.
- Identify information needed to clarify risks, seek it from appropriate sources, and use questioning to gather it.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to corporate policies, including the ACI code of ethics and global information security.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or relevant studies.Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in the payments industry.Proficient in ISO 8583 message formats and Global Card Schemes (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, JCB, etc.).Understanding of transaction security / EMV concepts; experience with HSMs such as Thales, Eracom, Atalla.Extensive experience with card schemes simulators (e.g., VTS, Mastercard simulators, JTS).Experience with testing in large-scale projects involving ATMs (NCR, Diebold, etc.) and POS devices (Hypercom), and various global card schemes / switches.Excellent problem-solving skills.Experience in BASE24-eps or BASE24 project implementation.Proficient in and extensive working experience with C++, Java and OOAD.Experience in RHEL, AIX or HP NonStop platforms.Experience in gathering customer requirements and developing a plan and proposal for project delivery.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Benefits
