Accountant (Healthcare Industry) responsibilities include financial accounting, reporting, treasury management, compliance, and administrative support to enable informed management decisions in a healthcare context. Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain full set of accounts for all the business units (AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliations). Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management. Ensure timely closing of accounts and submission of financial statements. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis. Cash Flow & Treasury Management : monitor cash flow, collections, and payments to ensure sufficient operating funds. Manage accounts receivable and bad debt collection to minimize outstanding balances. Manage petty cash and bank accounts across centers. Compliance & Audit : ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation (SST, income tax), and other statutory requirements; liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies; prepare supporting schedules and documentation for audits. Administrative & Operational Support : work with the operations team to track inventory, procurement, and vendor payments; provide financial insights to management for decision-making on cost efficiency and expansion. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Minimum 3–5 years of accounting experience (experience in healthcare / SME environment is an advantage). Familiarity with Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory regulations. Proficiency in accounting software AutoCount, or equivalent and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. High level of integrity, independence, and attention to detail. What We Can Offer
