WAITER / WAITRESS Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur is looking for a Waiter / Waitress to join our Food & Beverage team.

About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Food & Beverage Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Waiter / Waitress responsibilities include greeting and serving our guests, providing detailed information on menus, and multi-tasking various front-of-the-house duties in a fast-paced environment. The Waiter / Waitress reports to the Restaurant Manager / Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter / Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties :

  • Ensure that the standards of Food and Beverage service are maintained
  • Anticipate guest needs, as to where guests will never have to ask for anything
  • Report deficiencies or breakage of operational equipment to the Assistant Managers
  • Increase the average food and beverage check and promote sales
  • Monitor and supervise small VIP functions not handled by the Banquet Department
  • Ensure that the orders are delivered at the proper temperature

As Waiter / Waitress, We Expect From You

  • Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Business Administration preferred.
  • Good communication skills whether verbal, written or non-verbal.
  • Extensive knowledge of food and beverage in order to service and up sell our product, including liquors and cocktails
