Penerangan pekerjaanPostgraduate qualification (e.g., Master of Medicine in Family Medicine) from a recognised institution. Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council. Medical degree (MBBS / MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution. Strong subject‑matter expertise in Family Medicine with knowledge of current evidence‑based medicine and guidelines. Ability to plan and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical / clinical teaching using student‑centred methods. Basic educational technology skills (e‑learning, presentations, online platforms). Ability to conduct and supervise research and contribute to academic publications and conferences. Role‑modeling of professionalism and medical ethics to students and staff. Specialist with an area of interest is an added value. Credits in Bahasa Malaysia and English Language (including oral examination) at SPM level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government (for Malaysian citizens). IELTS Band 6 / MUET Band 4. Candidates lacking these qualifications will be required to sit for the IIUM English Language Proficiency Test.
Assistant Professor (DU14) Department of Family Medicine – Kulliyyah of Medicine
International Islamic University Malaysia – Grade : DU14 – Status : Permanent (Malaysian only). Salary range : RM6,560.00 – RM15,360.00 (based on experience). Area of specialization : Family Medicine. Location : Kuantan.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in assigned subjects.
- Conduct and supervise clinical teaching for medical students and postgraduate doctors at primary health clinics and medical campus.
- Assess student performance through continuous assessment and tests (OSCEs, viva voce, etc.).
- Provide specialist clinical services at IIUM Family Health Clinic.
- Conduct and supervise research in family medicine subjects and publish findings in peer‑reviewed journals and present at conferences.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, accreditation activities, and academic programmes.
- Engage in community outreach and continuous professional development (CPD) activities.
