Manager II, Procurement is a critical leadership role responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that align with our company's growth and operational goals. This position goes beyond day-to-day purchasing; you will be the resilience, managing supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, and services. As a key member of our operations team, you will have a direct impact on our profitability and competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive (raw materials) and indirect categories (capital equipment, services)
- Lead end-to-end supplier selection process : identifying, evaluating, qualifying, and onboarding new suppliers
- Negotiate and manage complex contracts, including master supply agreements, pricing terms and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with key suppliers to ensure reliability, quality and continuous improvement
- Conduct regular supplier business reviews and performance evaluations
Operational Procurement & Cost Management
Oversee the entire procurement cycle, from requisition to purchase order issuance and delivery, ensuring alignment with production schedulesDrive significant cost savings initiatives through negotiation, value analysis, and alternative sourcing without compromising qualityManage and control the company’s spending, working closely with the finance department to manage the procurement budgetResolve issues related to supplier quality, delivery delays and invoice discrepancies promptlySupply Chain Risk & Inventory Optimization
Proactively monitor market trends, global supply chain risks, and economic factors that could impact supply or costsDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including dual sourcing for critical items and safety stock planningCollaborate with the production and planning teams to optimize inventory levels, minimizing carrying costs while preventing stock-outs.Leadership & Process Improvement
Mentor and lead a small procurement team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountabilityEstablish, document, and continuously improve procurement policies, procedures and systemsChampion the use of data and analytics to make informed decisions and report on KPIs (e.g. : cost saving, supplier performance, PO accuracy)Experience
7+ years of progressive experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role within a manufacturing environmentProven track record of developing sourcing strategies and negotiating contracts that deliver substantial cost savingsExperience with direct materials procurement (plastics, rubbers, foam and etc) and indirect materials sourcingExceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skillsQualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related fieldExperience in Contract Manufacturing industry is preferredStrong analytical and financial acumen to model total cost of ownershipCompetencies
