Proven work experience as a Purchasing Officer, Purchasing Agent, or similar role. Strong knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors). Hands‑on experience with purchasing software (e.g., Procurify or SpendMap). Familiarity with supply chain procedures. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create financial reports and conduct cost analyses. Outstanding negotiation skills. Responsibilities
- Responsible for overall Purchasing Department performance in meeting company goals and objectives.
- Source, negotiate, and purchase materials from local and overseas vendors.
- Evaluate vendor quotations to ensure alignment with technical and commercial specifications required for the customer’s requirement.
- Advise internal and external stakeholders on purchasing Terms & Conditions.
- Manage daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing, and following up on Purchase Orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
- Resolve supply, quality, service, and invoicing issues with vendors.
- Assist in ISO Annual Performance Review for vendors.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time, and best prices, ensuring all criteria are met according to organizational requirements and expectations.
- Implement internal procurement strategies to cater to high delivery and short lead time requirements.
- Undertake any other ad‑hoc duties as assigned.
