Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager with proven experience in the metal fabrication or stainless steel industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, engaging with clients at all levels, and driving revenue growth through strategic partnerships, and market expansion. Responsibilities

Identify and develop new business opportunities in the stainless steel fabrication sector (in marine, customised product, building structures, industrial equipment, kitchen equipment, railings, etc.). Generate leads through networking, trade shows, online platforms, referrals, and direct outreach. Understand customer requirements and work with the engineering and production teams to propose tailored solutions. Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and technical bids in coordination with internal teams. Conduct market research to analyse industry trends, competitor activities, and potential clients. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts and strategic partners. Negotiate contracts, close agreements, and ensure proper handover to the project execution team. Achieve or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management. Monitor project execution and ensure client satisfaction post-sales. Represent the company in industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings. Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field. 3–7 years of proven experience in business development or technical sales, preferably in metal fabrication or stainless steel manufacturing. Strong knowledge of fabrication processes, materials (especially stainless steel grades), and industry applications. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to read technical drawings and collaborate with engineering / design teams. Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working independently. Willingness to travel as required.
