Position Purpose

The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing daily AP functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, claims, and payments. The role involves reporting and reconciliation, and other ad hoc requests related to accounts payable. This role works closely with the internal team and country finance to resolve discrepancies.

What we want you to do

• Invoice processing : Validate vendor invoices, ensure proper recognition of expenses in accordance with IFRS, provide clear description of expenditure, and ensure compliance with local tax requirements.
• E-claim processing : Ensure supporting documents / receipts are in order and compliant with policy; validate claim amounts against receipts.
• Batch payment processing : Prepare batch payment proposals, obtain approvals, and execute host-to-host payments (SAP interfacing to banking portal).
• Urgent / Advance payment processing (ad-hoc) : Execute electronic payments, perform payment clearing in SAP, and obtain approvals.
• Reports and reconciliations : Generate accounts payable ageing reports and related reconciliations.
• Operations : Support closing activities in SAP; respond to stakeholder queries; identify and articulate process improvements; participate in process implementation, automation, and standardization of P2P activities; prepare SOP / DTP documentation.
• Other : Resolve bottlenecks with local finance, issue first alerts, and share knowledge with team; download invoices from vendor portals.

Requirements

Education : A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or related field.

Technical Knowledge : Proficiency in English (written and spoken); strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Additional Skills : Experience in beauty / retailing industry preferred; ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; strong communication, initiative, attention to detail, and a results-oriented mindset; team player with problem-solving skills.
