Accountant – Bausch + Lomb, Kuala Lumpur
Bausch + Lomb is a leading global eye health company dedicated to protecting and enhancing the gift of sight for millions of people around the world. We are seeking an experienced Accountant to support our Shared Service Center in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily input of financial data into the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and post general ledger journal entries, verifying alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close procedures, making necessary accruals and adjustments.
- Carry out rigorous reconciliations of all general ledger accounts, identifying and rectifying discrepancies.
- Facilitate the Record to Report process, providing detailed financial data and analysis to management.
- Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, and other departments to integrate financial data into the general ledger.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, supplying necessary general ledger data and reports.
- Develop and implement general ledger procedures that improve accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with GAAP.
Qualifications
B.Sc. / B.A. in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.3–5+ years of relevant accounting experience.Proficiency in English and Chinese required.Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to work under tight deadlines.Strong analytical and communication skills.Knowledge of cash application software and accounting systems.Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
