Position Overview
As an Industrial Engineering Intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to precision manufacturing operations while supporting the Industrial Engineering team in improving productivity, efficiency, and process flow. This internship provides practical experience in lean manufacturing, time studies, process improvement, and production support in a high-volume engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in time studies, work measurement, and line balancing activities.
- Support the development and optimization of process flows, work instructions, and layout improvements.
- Participate in lean manufacturing projects to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and enhance productivity.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend improvements.
- Assist in preparing process documentation, reports, and presentations for project reviews.
- Support engineers in capacity planning, manpower utilization, and productivity tracking.
- Provide assistance during trial runs, process changes, and NPI (New Product Introduction) activities.
- Learn and apply problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma basics).
Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process improvement tools will be an added advantage.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); exposure to CAD or simulation tools is a plus.Proactive, eager to learn, and able to adapt in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Job Type : Internship

Pay : From RM1,000.00 per month
