Responsibilities

At Keysight, we pride ourselves on the quality and reliability of our test and measurement products. To achieve such requirements, all our circuit designs require meticulous up-front calculations, simulations and investigations, while undergoing a thorough turn on, verification and validation process as well as an extensive set of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Environmental and Safety tests.

In this project, you will be assisting one of our senior design engineers in various tasks, depending on the phase of the project that you are taking part in. These tasks may include :

• Understanding the product functionality and internal circuitry.
• Understanding the important parameters in product testing and how test measurements are performed.
• Understanding the basic design process work flow.
• Understanding key parameters in component datasheets and practical real-world considerations in the part selection process.
• Understanding and performing power tree calculations for circuitry.
• Performing electronic measurements to support R&D investigation, turn on and characterization tasks.
• Assisting in design prototype troubleshooting and rework.
• Support the hardware qualifications in Keysight facilities.
• Learning corporate CAD tools and performing schematic capture or modification.
• Understanding the key considerations of PCB / A design in Keysight products.

Qualifications

Must have interest in circuit design.

Good understanding of basic design methodology, circuit troubleshooting techniques and soldering experience is an advantage.
