Legal Executive

Own day-to-day legal work across contracts, compliance, and advisory. You will review / prepare agreements, support negotiations, manage company secretarial matters with external CoSec, and guide teams on labour, IP, data protection, and commercial risks. You will also partner closely with overseas functional heads and represent the company as its legal advisor in dealings with counterparties and authorities on company-related issues. Responsibilities 1. Draft / review NDAs, service / MSAs, SoWs, procurement and vendor contracts. 2. Support negotiations, track obligations, and maintain a contract repository. 3. Advise HR on employment matters (warnings, terminations, PIP, policies). 4. Coordinate with external counsel; manage disputes / pre-litigation files. 5. Ensure PDPA compliance, policy updates, training, and incident logs. 6. Liaise with CoSec for board minutes, resolutions, filings, licenses. 7. Monitor regulatory changes; prepare simple memos and playbooks. 8. Work cross-border with overseas functional heads to align legal positions, localize templates, and ensure compliance across jurisdictions. 9. Represent the company as legal advisor in external engagements (e.g., regulators, ministries, counterparties, landlords, vendors) on company-related issues. Requirements 1. Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent. 2. In-depth knowledge of corporate law and related matters. 3. At least 3 years of experience in a related field is beneficial. 4. Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken. 5. Able to translate business goals into pragmatic legal positions. 6. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 7. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under tight deadlines. 8. Familiar with Malaysian labour law, PDPA, and commercial / IP basics. 9. Proven experience partnering with overseas stakeholders and handling cross-border legal coordination. 10. Confident representing the company in external legal matters and managing counterparties / regulatory communications.
