- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), providing leadership and technical expertise in all areas related to automation, control, instrumentations and vision systems which including the latest advancements in AI application
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the end-to-end development, enhancement, and implementation of machine automation / vision system in glove manufacturing. This includes systems used for automated quality inspection, defect detection, and real-time process monitoring. The role also covers the continuous improvement and optimization of existing automation / vision systems and processes, ensuring alignment with production needs, quality standards, and technological advancements.Conduct improvements and troubleshooting of control system, vision system, network topology, HMI, gateway protocols and other automations.Possessed strong understanding of process automation, scripting, control and system integration.Become "the right person" in solving complex issues related to control, instrumentation and automation.Mentoring young Automation Engineers.Ability to use and write automation software and tools such as PLCs, Python, C++, etc.). - Intermediate.Ability to identify automation opportunities and suggest improvements.Ability to manage multiple automation projects from small to medium scales.Keeping up with the latest trends in automation / vision systems, including AI and deep learning applications.Document all automation systems, test results, and standard operating procedures (SOPs), including the preparation of comprehensive operation and maintenance manuals, user guides, and technical documentation to support system usage, troubleshooting, and long-term sustainability.Assist in the implementation of new technologies as directed by the company, specifically those related to vision systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the conceptualization, proposal, research and development (R&D), and plant-wide integration of successful vision-related technologies.Ensuring all project executed to include details training, mentoring, and skills development to ensure optimal team performance and continuous improvement within the department.Participate actively in field and construction activities, including modifications to existing systems and implementation of new automation projects, on a regular or as-needed basis.Ensure all automation-related work complies with accepted engineering practices and relevant design codes, maintaining technical integrity and promoting safe, reliable designs.Ensure effective implementation of the HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Management System within areas of responsibility, in strict adherence to the company’s HSE standards and policies.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing workplace procedures, safety rules, and regulations in line with company policies and industry best practices.Uphold the company’s reputation and product quality by ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, contributing to a strong, responsible corporate image.Perform any other duties or tasks as may be assigned from time to time, in line with the role and in support of departmental or company objectives.REQUIREMENTS
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, specifically in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or related field.Work Experience :
Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial or vision system, with 3–5 years in a leadership role.Technical and Professional Knowledge :
Automation Systems : Deep knowledge of automation architecture, including SCADA, MES, and industrial networks.Manufacturing Process Knowledge (Glove Production) : Proven ability to analyze and optimize automation performance at various production stages for efficiency and yield.Control Systems Design & Logic : Designs, implements, and optimizes control strategies including PID tuning, motion control, and interlock systems.Automation Software & Tools : Develops automation applications; leverages SCADA / MES / analytics tools for system insights and process visibility.Data Acquisition & Analysis : Designs dashboards and KPIs; utilizes data trends to recommend changes in system parameters for performance optimization.Troubleshooting & Diagnostics : Resolves complex system faults with structured diagnostics and preventive strategies.Innovation & Emerging Tech : Champions pilot projects involving IoT, robotics, and mobile HMIs to digitize production lines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
