Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price term, payment term, deliveries schedule and services with vendors.

Key Duties

Creates, reviews, issues and follows-up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.

Reviews approved forecast / demand and plans requirements for acceptable inventory level.

Manages supplier’s relationship with regard to pricing, delivery, quality & compliance.

Strengthen suppliers' relationship in order to form a strong alliance and partnership that will benefit both parties.

Ensure suppliers deliver purchased items in a timely manner. Alert program management and planning of any potential supply issues.

Resolve receiving discrepancies, Material Review Board (MRB), Return to Vendor (RTV) and PPV.

Monitor suppliers' performance such as responsiveness to forecast, order reschedules and demand.

Maintaining close liaison with suppliers on their production capacities, readiness and material

Key Skills

Good writing and verbal communications abilities are required including 2 year in direct procurement activities.

Demonstrated capability of handling multiple projects in parallel;

Ability to work with planners, engineers and all levels of management;

Possess effective communication, presentation, negotiation, planning, organization and facilitation skills

Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook & Word) required. Preferably need to know V-look up and Pivot tables, and also be able to create excel worksheets

Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP / Oracle / Ban

Hand On Experience on VMI / JIT and Bond

Work Experience

2-3 years with hands on procurement especially buying and sourcing activities on electronics and mechanical commodity

Education

Diploma / Degree in Business Administration / Supply Chain

Non-Technical Attributes

Possess effective communication, presentation, negotiation, planning, and organization skills. Good writing and verbal communications abilities are required.
