Who You Are :
This Quality Engineer is to take responsibility for Industrial Quality activities. Responsible for the implementation of the good quality and process control system, drive value quality improvement projects, manage product & manufacturing line non-conforming materials and lead customer returns investigation. He / she will also be engaged and drive the regular manufacturing conforming process audits and work with both manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure effective corrective actions are in place. The candidate will also be supporting the new process / product introduction and ramp.
What You Will Do :
- Focal QA representative for new product quality and reliability management processes in product development; APQP.
- Attend to new product development and new product release to ensure meeting customer requirements.
- Ensure smooth launch of new products in term of process and product quality and reliability.
- Ensure new products meet high volume manufacturing (HVM) capability by working closely with Development, process, engineering, Reliability and FA engineers; following company's BCP, APQP and Safe Launch methodology.
- Be the content expert on key product development quality tools - Process development, ORT, DRBFM, FMEA, Control Plan, Lesson Learned and PPAP
- Continuously improve, develop new methods and system for product development via lean thinking
- Initiate product / process MRB and CAPA meetings to address product quality related issues with systematic 8D approach.
- Work with Reliability and Product team to define RMP / ORT requirements.
- Perform audits on process controls, control plan and OI to ensure process compliance to requirements.
- Review DFMEA with PD team to ensure risk and control is properly defined and captured.
- Ensure FMEA, Control Plan are well documented on all process control and learning.
- Prepare exit Safe Launch Plan for automotive products.
- Collect and analyze quality data, generate reports, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify deviations and potential quality risks, and work proactively to resolve them.
What You Will Bring (REQUIRED Qualifications) :
Knowledge in quality system (ISO / IATF 16949) and process control such as FMEA & SPC.Knowledge in Statistics and 8D Problem SolvingHave basic materials properties, thermal mechanical and a good understanding on the interaction between the process & materials used, for effective problem solving.Hardworking, Independent, Flexible, and with a Positive attitudeField of Study : Engineering or Applied Science related fieldsYears of Experience (Minimum) : 3 - 5 yearsPreferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of automotive quality standards and 5 core tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPA)Technically capable of participating on complex problem solving that involve interaction between materials used, process and equipment.Note : This contract position is described as a one-year assignment.
