Solution Area Specialist (SAS)
The Solution Area Specialist (SAS) is a customer- and partner-facing technical sales expert responsible for driving both new and renewal sales across Microsoft Cloud solutions. Working closely with Vendor Digital Sales (VDS) teams, the SAS identifies customer needs, designs tailored Microsoft solutions, and supports technical planning and migrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive New and Renewal Sales :
- Engage with focused accounts to identify new opportunities and renewal motions within Microsoft Azure.
- Proactively manage and support customer renewals, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to expand solution adoption.
- Collaborate with Renewal Centre of Excellence (RCOE) teams to ensure seamless contract renewals and customer retention.
Technical Solution Selling
Partner with VDS sellers to deliver deep technical expertise throughout customer engagements.Scope customer requirements, align them with Microsoft Cloud solutions, and recommend the next logical workloads for adoption.Conduct demos, proof-of-concepts, and solution planning sessions to accelerate customer decision-making.Customer Engagement and Enablement
Lead MCEM stages 1–3, ensuring effective technical discovery, solution alignment, and onboarding readiness.Drive technical readiness for migration and deployment scenarios, collaborating with partners where appropriate.Serve as a trusted advisor to customers, guiding them through solution options, architecture considerations, and best practices.Pipeline and Opportunity Management
Maintain disciplined pipeline hygiene using MSX tools and provide accurate forecasting and deal guidance.Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure solution feasibility, technical alignment, and customer satisfaction.Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, renewal management, or digital sales motions, preferably in a technology or cloud environment.Excellent communication in Korean and speaks well in EnglishDemonstrated success in driving renewals and expansion sales within existing accounts.Deep technical expertise ( Level 300 ) in Microsoft Azure or related cloud platforms.Strong communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills with the ability to influence technical and business decision-makers.Proven ability to work collaboratively across sales, partner, and technical teams.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking capabilities.Certifications
Required :
Two Associate-level certifications relevant to the assigned Solution AreaPreferred :
