The Purchasing Manager plays a key leadership role in overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential to the company’s operations. This position is responsible for driving strategic sourcing initiatives, logistic, optimizing purchasing processes, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards. The Deputy Manager supports the Purchasing Manager / Managing Director in leading the procurement team and acts as a key liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Procurement & Sourcing
- Assist in developing and implementing purchasing strategies aligned with company goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and maintain a network of reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Lead high-value negotiations to secure optimal pricing, terms, and conditions.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in sourcing.
2. Purchase Order & Contract Management
Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of purchase orders (POs) to ensure accuracy and compliance.Ensure all purchasing activities align with approved budgets and procurement policies.Monitor procurement cycle times and work to streamline purchasing processes.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key suppliers.Evaluate supplier performance through KPIs (quality, cost, delivery, service).Resolve complex supplier disputes and escalate issues as necessary.4. Inventory & Cost Control
Collaborate with inventory and production teams to manage material requirements and stock levels efficiently.Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction or process improvement.Support cost forecasting and budgeting exercises with procurement data.Ensure adherence to company policies, procurement procedures, and regulatory requirements.Oversee proper documentation of all procurement activities including contracts, PO records, and supplier databases.Conduct internal audits and support external audits related to procurement.6. Logistic
Oversee logistics operations including import / export, customs clearance, freight forwarding, and local distribution.Ensure compliance with all customs regulations, trade requirements, and shipping documentation (K1, K2, K8, Lampiran D, etc.).Coordinate with production, sales, and other departments to ensure on-time delivery of materials and finished goods.Optimize logistics cost while ensuring efficiency and reliability in transportation.Job Type : Full-time
