Associate Director, AI & Intelligent Automation

The Associate Director will own the end-to-end delivery of AI workflow products from kick-off through pilot completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, product specifications, and quality standards. They will coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams (Process Architects, Automation Specialists, Data Engineers, Prompt Engineers) while acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders. This role will govern timelines, budgets, scope, and risk, then execute a structured hand-off to the Run team for long-term operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Client-Facing Program Management
• Act as the primary liaison between Product Team, clients, and build teams.
• Translate product requirements into clear delivery plans with milestones and acceptance criteria.
• Run status meetings, demos, and pilot reviews with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Project Governance
• Maintain project plans, RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies), and delivery dashboards.
• Ensure quality gates are met before deployment to pilot.
• Coordinate cross-role dependencies to avoid blockers.
• Technical-Aware Delivery Oversight
• Understand the basics of AI workflow architecture, API integrations, and automation tooling (Zapier, Make.com, LangChain, etc.) to speak confidently with technical teams.
• Spot and escalate delivery risks early (e.g., data availability, API limitations).
• Support light troubleshooting during build phases.
• Transition to Run
• Prepare handover documentation including workflow runbooks, test results, and KPI baselines.
• Host transition briefings with Run team, ensuring all operational and monitoring requirements are in place.
• Fully relinquish ownership after transition while ensuring any lessons learned are captured.
