Overview

We are looking for a driven and ambitious Category Manager (Perishable)

to join our team at

GCH Retail (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd . This full-time role is based in

Shah Alam, Selangor

and will be responsible for managing and optimizing the perishable product categories within our retail business. Job Responsibilities

Analyze market trends and consumer data to identify opportunities for category growth and development Develop and implement effective category management strategies to drive sales and profitability Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best products, pricing and terms for your categories Collaborate with demand planning, marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless category execution Monitor category performance and make data-driven decisions to continuously improve results Provide regular reporting and insights to the senior management team Manage daily operations for assigned categories Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize product mix and pricing Related tasks / responsibilities assigned Job Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in category management or retail buying within the Retail & Consumer Products industry Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners Proactive and results-oriented mindset with a passion for the retail industry Tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as Business, Marketing or Retail Management Seniority level
