Position Summary
Plant Engineer
Duties
- To manage a safe working environment that results in attaining target of ZERO accidents. Perform regular audit on all safety control programs
- Ensure compliance to all state and federal regulations. Liaison with local authorities such as BOMBA, DOSH, DOE and ensure compliance to all state and federal laws.
- To deputies Plant Manager and RPO responsibility when required.
- Continuous improvement of works method as results of reduce time to repair (MTTR) and mean time before failure (MTBF)
- Responsible for emergency unplanned breakdown. To recognized that the responsibility for site and plant is a 24-hours, 7-days week commitment and to be prepared to respond to call out at any time.
- Provide technical solution related to breakdown issues in the area of responsibility.
- Provide analysis of critical spare parts and stock control.
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities process improvement, and maintenance of equipment and machinery according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
- Administer and resolve all technical maintenance issues.
- Organize various performance appraisals and recommend training programs as per requirement.
- Collaborate with various departments to maintain mechanical integrity of all plant programs.
- Evaluate all production activities and prepare reports for all activities and inspect all associate plant machines and equipment.
- Maintain and review everyday logs and assist to resolve all issues and provide support to all engineering activities and participate in all facilities maintenance meetings.
- Review and recommend improvements of all SOP procedures and perform troubleshoot on all plant activities and resolve all issues and assist facilities manager to implement all changes.
- Provide an efficient interface with engineering department to evaluate all upcoming capital projects and analyze and obtain required feedback for all equipment and layouts.
- This role supports complaint / CAPA investigations, quality improvement, operations production and process controls.
Specific Work Requirements
Required engineering related skills, in mechanical and electrical / electronic.Familiarize in maintenance programs using PM tools or CMMS.Dealing with authorities on law and regulation.Specific Work Preferences

Prior experience with internal procedure HSE and COSHH requirement.Good interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to interact with all levels of the organizationPossess good analytical and problem-solving skillsFamiliar with engineering practices and all local requirementsGood command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.Excellent problem-solving skillsFocus on identification of potential issues and continuous improvement.Experience working on cross-functional teams and on own initiative.Must have PC experience, as well as working familiarity of desktop applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Education Degree
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering General
Required Experience
