General Responsibilities
The General Manager, Technology – will lead and drive the country-level business strategy for the Technology business unit. This role is accountable for achieving technical sales targets, delivering sustainable growth, managing P&L responsibilities, and building a high‑performing, customer‑centric team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in expanding market presence, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring operational and financial excellence.

Functional Skills and Knowledge
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Formulate and execute business strategies to meet sales and profitability targets across Malaysia.
- Oversee development and implementation of long‑ and short‑term sales and service plans.
- Manage pricing strategies, discount structures, and contract negotiations to optimize margins and competitiveness.
- Lead customer base expansion and penetration into new market segments.
Operational & Financial Management
Full accountability for country‑level P&L, including Net Sales, GM1, EBIT, and headcount.Oversee and manage operating budgets, resource allocation, and cost control to ensure financial efficiency.Track and report performance against KPIs; identify and act on process improvement opportunities.Client & Market Engagement
Develop and maintain long‑term strategic relationships with key clients and partners.Proactively monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to inform strategic adjustments.Oversee after‑sales service delivery and customer satisfaction metrics via KPI tracking systems.Leadership & People Development
Lead and manage a dedicated sales and service organization, fostering a high‑performance culture.Identify and develop top talent; build succession plans for critical roles.Cultivate a strong second‑line leadership team and promote a learning and coaching culture.Leadership Competencies

Education : Master’s degree in Science or Business required; MBA preferred.Experience :Minimum 10 years of relevant industry experience.At least 5 years in a senior management role with full P&L ownership.Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of Scientific Solutions (Laboratories) industry, products, services, competitors, and regulatory environment.Functional Expertise : Proven track record in business development, sales leadership, and customer relationship management.People Management : Strong leadership, team‑building, and interpersonal skills with a focus on talent development.Languages : Fluency in English (preferred).#LI-ML2
