Overview
Recovery Officer at OCBC. You will help customers manage their debt and develop personalized plans to help them recover financial stability, while minimizing risk for the bank. This is a customer-centric role requiring empathy, strong communication, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities
- Drive recovery efforts for written-off accounts.
- Achieve performance targets across key indicators : delinquencies, recoveries, contact attempts, PTP kept, and dollar collected.
- Submit reports within deadlines and maintain compliance with credit policies, BNM guidelines, and internal controls.
- Implement effective collection strategies to accelerate recovery outcomes. Identify cases to be outsourced to Collection Agencies promptly.
- Ensure timely updates of agency status on collection accounts in the Debt Management (DM) system.
Qualifications
A degree in a relevant field, such as finance or businessAt least 3 years of experience in collections or a related field, such as credit risk or customer serviceStrong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and internal stakeholdersAnalytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop creative solutionsEmpathetic and customer-focused, with a passion for helping othersAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and meeting deadlinesWhat We Offer
