Section Head, Deposit Business (Product Development)
This role requires a strong understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and regulatory requirements to ensure that deposit offerings remain competitive, innovative, and profitable. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Sales, Operations, IT, Risk Management, and Compliance to deliver customer-centric deposit solutions aligned with the Bank’s strategic objectives and market demands.
Job Responsibilities :
- Lead the formulation and execution of strategic product roadmaps for deposit products, including savings accounts, current accounts, fixed deposits, debit cards, and digital wallets (e-wallets).
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and business opportunities for deposit product innovation.
- Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept creation and feasibility studies to product launch and post-implementation review.
- Ensure all deposit products comply with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and risk management frameworks.
- Collaborate with Operations and IT teams to enhance automation, digitalization, and efficiency in deposit product delivery.
- Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for deposit-related projects and system enhancements.
- Drive the development and continuous improvement of e-wallet and other digital deposit solutions to promote financial inclusion and digital adoption.
- Work closely with Marketing and Sales teams to plan product launches, campaigns, and customer engagement initiatives.
- Participate in cross-functional strategic projects to enhance business growth, risk governance, and regulatory compliance across the deposit portfolio.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related discipline.Diploma holders with at least 5 years of relevant experience in deposit product management or product development will also be considered.Minimum 7 years of working experience in the banking industry, preferably in product development or product management.Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.Highly motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and innovation.AFFIN BANK is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from qualified candidates.
