Position Summary
The Financial Controller is responsible for assisting the Country CFO overseeing the financial position of Columbia Asia Group of Companies in Malaysia & Vietnam including managing working capital, pricing analysis and ensuring adequate controls and procedures are in place in the hospital. The Financial Controller is expected to provide leadership for the corporate controllership and able to balance being a business advocate and a corporate compliance Controller, educating business partners to make effective decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities
Development analysis and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operation effectiveness of Columbia Asia Group of Companies.Develop a pricing model & control system that can quantify the effect on margin from sales volume, average selling prices, sales mix, as well as the impact from cost of goods. Leading the Pricing Review Committee ensuring Group Pricing methodology and policy are standardized and enforced across Columbia Asia Group of Hospitals.Responsible for CAPEX assessment and financial feasibility study.Setting Key Performance Indicators in the related area as Performance Measurement of company and individual performance.Perform Credit Control and monitor credit risk exposure to the organization.Actively participate in developing and fine tuning the Group policies and procedures to ensure proper internal control and compliance with rules and regulations.To provide proactive management in all financial controlling aspect of the business of Columbia Asia Hospitals.To analyze and evaluate all major commercial and financial decisions related to Columbia Asia Group of Companies when required.To implement and enforce financial policies implemented by the Board and Audit Committee.Provide Financial Awareness program to non-financial personnel.Provide leadership in people management.To undertake any assignments and projects when required from Country CFO.Education and Requirements
Professional qualified accountant and a member of MIA. A Master degree in Business Administration would be a plus point.5 years’ relevant working experience in financial controlling & business analysis.
Knowledge in Supply Chain Management and Project feasibility study would be an added advantage.Experience in leading a team.Acute business sense.Strong in financial management yet meticulous and detail.Pro-active, aggressive and self-criticalThrough understanding of both finance and accounting.Excellent work habits, financial savvy.Capability of thinking outside of the box.Demonstrates the desire and ability to communicate effectively with staff, executive management team, subsidiaries and corporate headquarter.Ability to facilitate meetings and drive discussions for multifunctional teams.Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and problem solve in stressful situations.Must be able to work independently with great accuracy.Must be strategically oriented but process focused.Performance Standards To Be Achieved (Key Accountabilities)
