Overview
This position is for a Senior Product Engineer responsible for coordinating all new product development activities, ensuring timely completion of manufacturing, testing, characterization, qualification and releasing with consistency, quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Co-work with functional engineering team members (TME / DE / TD / TE / RE) to define new products, assess risks, and build comprehensive testing and qualification plans during the definition / design / layout stage.
- Collaborate with other engineering team members to ensure thorough characterization and qualification for reliability and quality of new products.
- Manage project schedules, forecast resource demand, and allocate resources to coordinate with other teams for timely completion of objectives and tasks.
- Independently schedule and ensure timely completion of complex projects, or provide technical direction to less experienced engineers on complex projects.
- Solve difficult problems using various techniques to develop effective and practical solutions that improve products, processes or quality.
- Provide skilled statistical data analysis and diagnosis for product characterization to identify where characterization is needed in new product development.
- Prepare documentation and paperwork for data summaries, records and release work during new product development.
- Collaborate with the product line to ensure good sample / order support during new product development.
- Provide strong engineering support to other groups or customers in a timely manner.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Microelectronics or related Electrical Engineering field.Minimum 2 years’ related IC work experience.Strong background in analog / digital circuits, device physics, IC manufacturing processes, assembly, and related IC testing processes.Strong skills in bench testing, statistical data analysis and summary skills.Good problem-solving ability and project management experience.Self-motivated with strong teamwork abilities.Good verbal and written English communication skills.Creative with the ability to solve technical problems.Ability to work well in a cross-functional, cross-site environment.Monolithic Power Systems, Inc.
