Overview
A hands-on leader with a genuine passion for claims handling , responsible for delivering prompt, fair, and high-quality claims services to ensure customer satisfaction. The role requires strong technical knowledge, sound judgment, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and approve claim recommendations within assigned authority limits, ensuring compliance with company guidelines and procedures.
- Process and escalate claims exceeding authority limits to the relevant superior for approval.
- Supervise and guide team members to ensure claims are handled in accordance with the Company’s Claims Service Standards and Bank Negara Malaysia’s Guidelines on Claims Settlement Practices.
- Manage claims professionally to uphold the Company’s reputation for fairness, quality service, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee and approve reserves for new and adjusted claims within authority limits, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company practices.
- Authorize claims payments within authority limits and escalate those exceeding limits as required.
- Conduct periodic reviews of outstanding claims (at least annually) to ensure adequate reserves and timely follow-up on pending matters.
- Drive prompt settlement of claims to maintain a low outstanding ratio.
- Continuously review and enhance claims procedures and workflow for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Handle correspondence, inquiries, and complaints promptly and professionally to achieve timely resolution.
- Engage with service providers, intermediaries, and clients to resolve issues and facilitate early settlement.
- Monitor claims trends and highlight adverse developments or areas of concern to the Head of Department / Section Head.
Job Specification
8 to 10 years of experience in claims handling, preferably in Non-Motor Liability.Proven ability to work independently and perform under pressure.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with high initiative and proactiveness.Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities.Hands-on leader capable of managing tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented with strong leadership and teamwork skills.Able to build effective relationships and work well with individuals at all organizational levels.#J-18808-Ljbffr
