MANAGEMENT / ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

Director (Department of Admissions and Credit Evaluation)

The successful candidate will oversee the strategic and operational management of the complete student admissions and credit evaluation lifecycle. The candidate is expected to direct / enhance admissions and credit evaluation processes through continuous improvement initiatives as well as ensuring compliance with educational policies while upholding academic integrity, fairness, and transparency in admissions and credit transfer practices. The candidate will also lead, supervise and support the admissions team to achieve departmental goals.

  • Candidate should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Candidate should have extensive working experience in related field.
  • Candidate should possess good organizational and leadership skills. A Self-starter with strong work ethics and a team player.

Deputy Director (Department of Facilities Management)

The successful candidate will be assisting the Director in the overall planning and supervision for major development projects. The candidate will also be involved with the implementation of renovation, alteration and refurbishment projects. The successful candidate must provide the maintenance support of mechanical & electrical equipment and systems as well as technical support for University official functions and events.

  • Candidates should possess a recognized Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Architecture / QS / Facilities Management or equivalent qualifications.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 10 years’ working experience in the related field. Experience in handling large facilities in a university environment are preferred.
  • Candidates with Chargeman certification (11kV BO Chargeman) will be added advantaged.
  • Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Malaysia’s Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA), Uniform Building By-Laws (UBBL), Fire Services Act and environmental laws.
  • Candidates should possess good organizational and leadership skills. A Self-starter with strong work ethics and a team player.
  • Human Resource Manager

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the talent acquisition process including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding and the University's human resource and talent strategy to fulfil current and future talent needs. The candidate is expected to manage the HR system, performance evaluation, teaching permit, contract employment, section budgeting, reporting and ensure all relevant HR policies and best practices are applied consistently and in compliance with the Employment regulations and Malaysia Quality Assurance practices etc.

  • Candidates should possess a recognized Bachelor's degree in human resource or relevant field.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 15 years' working experience in human resource operations. Working experience in educational institutions is an advantage.
  • Manager, Research and Development - Centre For Postgraduate Studies and Research (CPSR)

    The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the TAR UMT research culture, opportunities, collaborations, strengthening institutional performance and championing national and global research priorities. The candidate is also expected to coordinate the data and monitor institutional performance metrics related to MyRA, SETARA, QS ranking, and other research-related audits.

  • Candidates should possess a minimum recognized Bachelor's degree in the relevant field, postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years' working experience, preferably in research grants and research related audit.
  • Manager (Department of Student Affairs)

    The successful candidate will involve in coordinating and managing the daily operations of the Division / Units to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to students and external parties. This includes supervising the delegation of tasks among officers and administrative assistants; providing guidance and advice on daily sports operations, and offering feedback to enhance performance and efficiency. The individual will also ensure the adherence to rules, regulations, and guidelines in the implementation of sports centre programmes, activities, and events. Responsibilities also include preparing reports, attending meetings, conducting briefings, and ensuring accurate documentation of all activities and operations.

  • Candidates should possess a recognised degree in Sports Science or a related field.
  • Candidates should have strong knowledge of sports management, co-curricular planning, and student development.
  • Candidates should possess excellent leadership, supervisory, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Candidates should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Candidates should have high level of integrity, responsibility, and commitment to student welfare and institutional values.
  • Candidates require to have flexibility to work evenings or weekends when required for student or institutional events.
  • Facilities Management Manager

    The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that a building and its services meet the needs of occupants by managing maintenance, security, cleaning, and other essential aspects of the facility. They oversee all aspects of building operations to ensure safety and functionality. This includes managing staff, contractors, and budgets, while also ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Candidate should possess a recognized Bachelor's degree with Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other related field with minimum 5 years' working experience.
  • International Marketing Executive

    The successful candidate will be responsible for executing marketing related activities such as education fairs, school visits, open day and other marketing events deemed necessary.

  • Candidatesshould possess a recognised degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Marketing / Mass Communication or a degree in other disciplines with relevant working experience in educationalinstitution.
  • Candidates shouldpossessexcellent communication and analytical skills as well ashave positiveattitude, outgoing personality and hardworking.
  • Finance Executive

    i)Tax

    The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and file accurate and timely tax returns, including income tax, service tax, and other relevant taxes. Responsibilities also include prepare of tax estimation, tax-related reports and analyses to the Management. Liaise with the relevant tax authorities, government agencies, tax consultants, and other external parties on all tax related matters. This role involves managing tax documentation and record-keeping on information required for tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities and coordinating with tax consultants. The individual also has to ensure compliance with Malaysian tax laws and regulations, staying current with any changes or updates.

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidate with professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW will be of added advantage.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in taxation, preferably tax advisory / consultancy with a background in the higher education industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Meticulous and attention to details, excellent attention to detail and accuracy in tax reporting and documentation.
  • A proactive attitude, agility, and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • ii) Accounts

    The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in monthly accounts closing, including preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules and related matters. The individual also requires to assist in daily operations, and maintain general ledger accuracy through journal entries into the accounting system, to perform monthly reconciliation schedules and follow up on outstanding discrepancies items (i.e. bank accounts, fund and bank balance, etc.). Other responsibilities also include to assist with the preparation of audit schedules and tax returns for submission, handling of statutory audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements financial reporting standards, identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness within the finance department. This role also requires to liaise with external authorities (auditors, bankers, related government authorities) where required.

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Candidate with professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, ICAEW will be of added advantage.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in financial and management reporting.
  • Meticulous and attention to details, accuracy in finance analysis and reporting.
  • A proactive attitude to undertake challenges, agility, tenacity and adaptability to handle various tasks, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Microsoft Excel skill set.
  • Experience in the higher education industry is a plus.
  • Student Counsellor

    The successful candidate will deliver services and programmes aimed at supporting students' mental and emotional well-being through individual counselling, interventions, outreach programmes, self-enrichment workshops, events, and activities.

  • Candidates should possess a recognised Bachelor's or Master’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Counselling Psychology.
  • Candidates must be a registered counsellor with a practicing certificate issued by the Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia (LKM).
  • IT Personnel

    i) Teaching & Learning Support Executive

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the administration and management of the e-learning system, provide support and conduct workshops / training to students and staff on the use of the e-learning system, develop web services and applications for e-learning.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in computing or education with specialization in training and educational technology. Fresh graduates may apply.
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable in Google Workspace, learning management systems, video editing apps, authoring tools etc.
  • ii) Videographer

    The successful candidate will be responsible in the planning and organizing video shoots of events, designing and development of graphics and video contents in support of corporate branding, product marketing and training, providing AV support and live video streaming services for university’s events.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Multimedia, Mass Communication, Event Management or equivalent. Fresh graduates may apply.
  • Must have knowledge in creating and implementing motion graphic.
  • Must have knowledge in the use of editing equipment and multimedia authoring tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effect, Premiere Pro, Vegas Pro and Edius Pro.
  • Must have knowledge in handling video camcorder and videography techniques.
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; keep abreast with technology changes as well as able to work independently and be part of a team.
  • Must be willing to travel and ready to work long hours when required.
  • iii) Laboratory Executive (Computer)

    The successful candidate will be responsible in the operation and administration of the computer laboratories to ensure smooth operation, schedule lab assistants monthly lab duties, planning and managing laboratories booking, liaise with the faculty on their lab booking request, maintaining and troubleshooting of computers, coordinate with vendors for equipment repairs and maintenance, Report and follow up on building defect issues or any lab facility maintenance / repairing works, supervise the student ID card printing process.

  • Candidate should possess a recognized Bachelor's degree in any field with 1-2 years of working experience with computer maintenance or lab management is preferred.
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills and thrive in both independent work and a supportive team environment.
  • Required to work long hours and weekends.
  • iv) System Engineer

    The successful candidate will be responsible in designing, implementing, and managing server systems and applications, monitoring and maintaining server performance, security, and availability, troubleshooting and resolving system issues promptly and effectively, performing system upgrades, patches, and security updates, developing and maintaining system documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth system operations.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field with 1-2 years of relevant professional experience is preferred.
  • Must have strong understanding of server administration on both Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies.
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; keep abreast with technology changes as well as able to work independently and be part of a team.
  • Must be willing to travel and ready to work long hours and weekends when required.
  • v) Technical Engineer

    The successful candidate will be responsible in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues as well as basic network connectivity issues, setting up, operating, and troubleshooting AV equipment such as projectors, screens, microphones, resolving AV issues includes sound problems and video display problems.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field with 1-2 years of relevant IT experience preferred.
  • Must have experience with computer and printer administration.
  • Must have knowledge of audio-visual systems (projectors, etc.).
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills; keep abreast with technology changes as well as able to work independently and be part of a team.
  • Ready to work long hours and weekends when required.
  • Laboratory Officer

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the daily operations and administrative works of all the laboratories / workshops / centre.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Computer Science or related field.
  • Clinical Psychologist

    The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of our students through individual psychotherapy sessions, interventions, outreach programmes, self-enrichment workshops, events and activities.

  • Candidate should possess a recognized Master's degree in clinical psychological with relevant work experience in a higher education environment.
  • An accredited psychologist status with a reputable professional body, preferably Malaysian Allied Health Professional Council (MAHPC).
  • Good knowledge of mental health issues and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Activities and Sports Coordinator

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree with minimum CGPA of 3.25 in Sport Science.
  • Facilities Management Executive

    The successful candidate will be responsible to carry out new building projects, detailed inspections of buildings and campus compound, execute all operation & maintenance activities of the campus as well as supervise all works being carried out by contractors and suppliers.

  • Candidate should possess a recognised Bachelor's degree with Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or other related field with minimum 2 years' working experience.
  • Senior Executive / Executive
