Responsibilities
- In charge of health, safety, environmental matters on the project site to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Department of Safety and Health, Malaysia.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety committee meetings.
- Promote and enforce effective environmental, safety and health practice throughout project sites.
- Coordinate and conduct regular inspections and carry out investigations on site accidents.
- Liaise with relevant authorities and clients on environmental, safety and health issues.
- Perform all matters on safety and health requirements as instructed by management.
- Implement and maintain Environmental, Safety & Health (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Maintain SHE documents and provide monthly reports to management, submitted in a timely manner.
- Produce monthly & weekly safety and health reports for management, clients and authorities.
- Maintain and produce a safety and health plan for the project.
- Handle any other ad‑hoc projects that may be assigned.
- Ensure compliance with OSH Act 1994 (Safety and Health Officer) Regulations 1997 (Part V).
- Liason with authorities such as DOSH, BOMBA, Police and other relevant authorities.
- Update and maintain records for ISO 45001.
