Environment, Health and Safety Manager (HSE)
The HSE Manager is responsible for managing and delivering end-to-end Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) planning and support across the organization, covering both on-site and off-site operations. This includes ensuring governance, compliance, and the establishment, maintenance, and continual improvement of the HSE Management System in line with relevant standards, including (but not limited to) ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Compliance :
- Oversee adherence to all relevant HSE laws, regulations, and internal standards such as ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001, ensuring both on-site and off-site operations meet governance and legal requirements.
Manage HSE Systems :
Establish, implement, and continuously improve the company’s HSE Management System, including internal and external audits, documentation, and the maintenance of HSE Legal and Risk Registers.Develop and execute the annual HSE plan in collaboration with operational teams, set measurable objectives and targets, and monitor progress through regular reporting and performance reviews.Drive Safety Culture :
Lead efforts to promote a strong HSE culture by communicating safety priorities, reinforcing cardinal rules, and engaging employees and leaders to take ownership of safety practices.Develop Competence :
Design and deliver structured HSE training programs and ensure all employees are competent in their roles, particularly in emergency response procedures and hazard awareness.Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments, lead investigations of incidents, identify root causes, and ensure timely implementation and closure of corrective actions.Role Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or SciencePossess a valid Safety & Health Officer (SHO) Green Book registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).Minimum of 5 years of practical HSE experience in construction safety or manufacturing process safety.Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.Experience in delivering HSE-related training and coaching across various levels.Seniority level
