Overview
Cash register operation in all tender payments (cash, credit card, debit card, etc.). Ensure that all payments are received accurately, correctly and entered into the cash register. Manage all transactions efficiently and honestly.
Responsibilities
- Operate cash register for all tender payments (cash, credit card, debit card, etc.)
- Ensure that payments are received accurately and entered correctly into the cash register
- Manage all transactions efficiently and honestly
- Store equipment at the cashier counter (sold tape, plastic bags, sales tape dispensers) before the counter closes
- Maintain the cleanliness of the cashier counter and cash register at all times
- Ensure sufficient cash balance for daily transactions
- Communicate with the Supervisor (Sr. Cashier) if cash in small denominations is insufficient
- Ensure every item is scanned correctly and charged to the correct customer
- Operate cash register machines according to "speed and accuracy" guidelines
