Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Executive
At least a registered Occupational Safety & Health Coordinator with DOSH is required
Green Book registration is an added advantage
EDUCATION :
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety & Health, Science, or Engineering
SKILL :
Strong knowledge of occupational safety, health and environmental management practices
Good exposure to HSE activities, reporting, and regulatory compliance
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
EXPERIENCE :
Minimum 3 years\' experience as an OSH Personnel
Good working knowledge of ISO 45001 standards; familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, or SEDEX requirements is an advantage
Experience in ISO documentation and compliance processes
Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written)
TRAINING (Preferred / Added Advantage) :
Green Book (SHO), ISO 45001 Internal Auditor, Scheduled Waste Management (DOE), ERT, Firefighting & First Aid
RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY :
Compliance & Certification
Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, company policies and ISO 45001 standards
Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS)
Coordinate internal / external audits, certification renewals, and management reviews
Liaise with local authorities (DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, MOH, etc) and regulatory bodies during inspections and audits
Conduct workplace risk assessments and inspections to identify hazards
Implement preventive and corrective measures to mitigate risks
Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and develop corrective action plans
Develop and manage emergency response procedures, including organising fire drills and simulation exercises
Deliver HSE and ISO 45001 awareness training, staff inductions, and refresher briefings
Promote a safety-conscious culture across the organisation
Oversee safe handling, storage, and disposal of scheduled waste
Manage firefighting systems, building safety compliance, and infectious disease control measures
Coordinate maintenance schedules for company vehicles and material handling equipment (MHE)
HSE Initiatives & Welfare
Act as key member of the Safety & Health Committee, facilitating regular meetings
Support company-wide HSE initiatives, ESG, and CSR programs
Contribute to employee welfare and well-being initiatives
Other Duties
Carry out an other HSE-related tasks as assigned by Management
