Overview
Risk Manager - Public Cloud (Malaysia, India) role at Standard Chartered . This role could be based in India or Malaysia. When you start the application process you will be presented with a country dropdown to select the country where the role is based.
Responsibilities
- Identify, assess, manage and govern risk through the Bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework, focusing on Operational Risk for the Public Cloud domain and considering industry standards and best practices.
- Drive the defined control environment for people, process and technology to reduce operational and technology risk to within the Group’s risk appetite, satisfying control objectives in Group policies and external regulations.
- Partner with Enterprise Technology Domain Stakeholders, CSS, CISRO, Group Operational Risk and Group Internal Audit; manage all related initiatives for the domain, including proactive controls assessment, issue management, audit and regulatory inspection facilitation, and other related tasks.
- Understand the broader business context and advocate for technical solutions that support strategic objectives.
- Maintain and improve risk identification, mitigation, control management and audit engagement across the domain, ensuring readiness and continuous improvement in process documentation, risk reporting, and MIS.
- Maintain central data repository for Risk & Control (risk profile, risk analysis, stakeholder engagement, CSAR status, audit status, etc.) and ensure awareness of risk engagement rules among domain stakeholders.
- Advise and assist the Cloud & DevOps Portfolio Heads in ensuring compliance with the Enterprise risk management framework; implement effective controls to minimise operational impact; ensure timely resolution of issues.
Qualifications
10-15 years of experience in Technology Risk Management, Information Security, Technology Governance, Internal Audit (Technology) or related roles; experience in Financial Services or other heavily regulated industries preferred.Clear, concise and articulate communication of complex topics.Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CIA, CRISC, CISA, ITIL, CISSP, GRCP / CRCM).Cloud knowledge and training (e.g., AWS Foundation, MS Azure Fundamentals).Hands-on experience with Control Design / Implementation, Audit Lifecycle, technology architecture, and risk assessment processes.Ability to negotiate with and influence senior stakeholders; comfortable with ambiguity and decision-making.Fluent English communication and writing skills.What We Offer
