Overview
The role includes creating design concepts from start to finish. This covers space planning, developing ideas, choosing colours and materials, and preparing detailed drawings such as elevations, construction drawings, and FF&E. The successful candidate manages their time well to complete tasks on schedule, even when deadlines are tight. They produce 2D and 3D drawings, inspect site work with minimal supervision, and attend meetings with clients and project teams. They also work with suppliers to gather and review material samples.
Responsibilities
- Develop concept designs, including space planning, design conceptualization, material and colour schemes, detailed drawing specifications, elevations, construction drawings, and FF&E.
- Deliver assigned tasks with strong time management skills, ensuring timely completion even under tight deadlines.
- Prepare and produce all 2D and 3D drawings, as well as carry out site inspections with minimal supervision.
- Participate in client, site, and internal project meetings to support design and project progress.
- Liaise with suppliers to source and collect material samples for design proposals.
Qualifications
Possess at least a recognized Diploma / Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.Must be able to speak good English & Bahasa Malaysia.Must have good knowledge and skill in AutoCAD, 3D Max / SketchUp.Must be able to travel for work.Compulsory to have attention to detail and strong sense of responsibilitySeniority level
