Overview

Honeywell Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Advanced Application Engineer role based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will join a performance culture with diverse leaders, thinkers, innovators, dreamers, and doers who are changing the future. This position focuses on pre-sales support across ASEAN markets, combining technical expertise in guest room management systems with strong customer-facing skills to design customized solutions, conduct technical presentations, and support the sales process.

Responsibilities

Lead technical aspects of the sales process, collaborating with the regional sales team to identify customer requirements and develop tailored Building Automation solutions.
Prepare technical proposals, create system architecture diagrams, and develop detailed project specifications that demonstrate the value proposition of Building Automation technology.
Create innovative solutions addressing customer challenges in energy management, guest comfort, and operational efficiency.
Stay current with product developments, understand the competitive landscape, and identify opportunities for system enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
Conduct technical presentations and live system demonstrations for prospective customers, showcasing Building Automation guest room management capabilities.
Customize presentation content based on audience needs and effectively handle technical questions and objections in real time.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.

Continuous learning mindset with a commitment to staying current with emerging technologies in smart building systems.

Strong technical foundation in building automation systems, with emphasis on HVAC controls, lighting management, and energy optimization technologies.

Understanding of communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and TCP / IP networking for system integration and troubleshooting.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and system architecture diagrams.
