Responsibilities
- Lead corporate exercises such as bond issuances and corporate / project term loans.
- Compile and evaluate financing proposals from banks, ensuring compliance with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) Foreign Exchange Administration (FEA) rules.
- Propose tax-efficient financing structures in consultation with the Tax team.
- Prepare proposal papers for management and Board approval.
- Support Business Units in setting up Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs), liaising with the Company Secretary on equity structures.
- Review, negotiate, and finalise term sheets and loan documentation with Legal and lenders.
- Evaluate financial proposals, review cash flows, and manage due diligence.
- Fulfil conditions precedent and subsequent to financing agreements.
- Implement hedging strategies to mitigate loan exposures.
- Manage inter-company loans for subsidiaries and joint ventures, including negotiation, agreement drafting, and execution.
Financing Plan & Advisory
Assist in developing the Group's Financing Plan, including economic outlook reviews, SWOT analysis, and KPI assessments.Lead preparation of loan schedules and financing structures for projects.Develop financial models for Business Units and subsidiaries to support new and existing investments.Provide corporate finance advisory for tenders, bids, and new ventures, including funding options and capital structure recommendations.Credit Rating Management
Manage initial and ongoing credit rating exercises with international and local rating agencies, in collaboration with Group Accounts, to support fundraising in debt capital markets.Loan Administration
Oversee compliance with loan covenants (qualitative and quantitative) for all external and inter-company loans.Review compliance documents and quarterly reports for submission to BNM.Lead discussions with agent banks, including waiver requests in case of covenant breaches.Ensure robust loan administration, reporting, and adherence to statutory requirements.People Development
Provide coaching, guidance, and leadership to build a strong pipeline of Corporate Finance professionals.Drive a high-performance culture that supports business growth.The Successful Applicant
Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related professional qualifications.10-12 years of relevant experience in Finance, Treasury, or Accounting.Strong track record in Corporate Finance and Treasury, particularly in project financing.Proven success in raising and closing financing transactions.Industry experience in oil & gas or energy sector preferred.Debt capital market strategy & instrumentsLoan negotiation, structuring & administrationFinancial modelling & cash flow analysisAccounting fundamentals & governanceKnowledge of short-term financial instrumentsWhat's On Offer
