Network Engineer

Penerangan pekerjaanBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Industry certifications preferred (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Juniper, Fortinet). Good command of English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin, both written and spoken will be added advantage Minimum (3–5) years of relevant hands-on experience in network engineering. Experience in managing or assisting in IT / network teams is a plus. Strong knowledge of networking protocols and services (TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP). Proficient in configuring Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or similar network equipment. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios). Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is an advantage. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Leadership potential with a proactive and collaborative approach.
Job Description
- Server & Storage performance, Server Backup Plan, propose & manage new projects with proper project management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues promptly to minimise downtime and maintain business continuity.
- Managing project progress and adapt work as required and ensuring projects meet deadlines.
- To assist Technical Team for project deployment with onsite & offsite staging, configuration, troubleshooting and installation.
- Stay up-skills with the latest industry trends and technologies, and recommend improvements to our network infrastructure.
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Perform regular network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- Implement and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, and network security measures.
- Support network-related incidents and provide Level 2 / 3 support.Ensure network compliance with security
- policies, data protection, and industry standards.
- Maintain network documentation and diagrams.
- Support the Network / IT Manager in overseeing daily operations and projects.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for network-related inititives.
- Assist in developing and enforcing IT / network policies and procedures.
- Lead or mentor junior team members.
- Prepare reports and updates on network status, incidents, and improvements.
