About the Role

This role is a 6‑month contract with extendable option.

Location : KLCC

Key Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and monitor on‑premises and cloud‑hosted (AWS RDS) databases to ensure high availability and performance.
• Support database upgrades, migrations, backups, recovery procedures, and performance tuning activities.
• Collaborate with senior architects to design and implement database architecture improvements under guidance.
• Participate in database modernization initiatives , including migration planning from on‑prem to cloud (Azure / AWS).
• Assist in defining and documenting database standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Learn and apply Azure SQL Database , Azure Managed Instance , and hybrid cloud database concepts through hands‑on exposure and structured training.
• Work closely with the DevOps and Cloud teams to understand integration and automation opportunities .
