The Fresh Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the fresh department (such as meat, seafood, bakery, dairy, fruits and vegetables). Ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, compliance with safety and hygiene standards, efficient stock management, and excellent customer service while driving sales and profitability.
- Lead and coordinate daily operations of the fresh department ensuring efficient workflow and high standards.
- Monitor product freshness, quality, and presentation, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene regulations.
- Manage inventory levels and place orders to ensure consistent availability of products.
- Ensure proper stock rotation (FIFO – First In, Frist Out) to maintain freshness.
- Develop merchandising plans to maximize product appeal and drive sales.
- Train and supervise team members in proper product handling, cutting techniques, and customer service.
- Analyze sales performance, identify trends, and implement action plans to achieve targets.
- Address customer inquiries or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing and maintain consistent product supply.
Job Requirements;
A diploma or certification in Retail, Food Management, or a related field (preferred).At least 3-5 years of experience in retail, hypermarket or fresh department operations.Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and stock managementStrong leadership and organizational skills to manage multiple teams and tasks effectively.Analytical skills to assess sales performance and optimize operations.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and public holidays.#J-18808-Ljbffr
