Accounting Assistant Manager - Beranang (13519)
Responsibilities include the following :
- Operate and maintain the SAGE system for accounting records and documentation.
- Extract and handle necessary data from in-house manufacturing systems for monthly reporting.
- Prepare and process semi‑annual and annual financial statements.
- Analyze costs related to production and operations, including direct and indirect costs.
- Monitor variances between actual and standard costs and report significant issues to management.
- Provide cost analysis and recommendations to support business decisions, cost control and profit improvement.
- Prepare and certify financial statements for presentation to management, shareholders and statutory or other bodies.
- Prepare tax returns, advise on taxation problems and contest disputed claims before tax officials.
- Prepare or report on profit forecasts and budgets.
- Prepare and lodge BAS, IAS and STP reports to the ATO.
- Process payroll, superannuation and leave entitlements.
- Assist in preparing tax returns, FBT returns and financial statements.
- Review and file vouchers monthly, and organize annual account books.
- Assist in preparing financial statements, budget forecasts and routine financial reports for management.
- Check expense claims for accuracy, verifying proper documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure all financial transactions and records comply with accounting standards and regulations, maintaining high standards of governance.
- Match monthly settlement reports with in‑app transaction records and investigate discrepancies.
- Process supplier invoices, staff claims and payments on time.
- Monitor cash flow, payables and ensure timely payment of bills and statutory contributions.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers and lawyers on audit and tax matters.
- Provide professional support to clients when needed.
- Manage invoice purchasing, issuance, verification and control.
- Prepare and submit tax and statistical reports on time.
- Assist with tax audits, external audits and other tax‑related matters.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents and government authorities on audit and tax matters.
- Review and update standard costs regularly based on market trends and operational changes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams such as procurement, operations and sales to ensure cost efficiency.
- Conduct cost‑benefit analysis for new projects, pricing models and financial forecasts.
- Handle tax compliance matters, including preparing and filing tax returns (GST, SST, e‑invoice, Corporate Tax).
- Assist in financial analysis activities, including variance analysis and trend analysis to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the budgeting process by assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, monitoring budget performance and identifying potential risks.
