Senior Finance Manager / Finance Manager
The Senior Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the hospital, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in line with healthcare industry standards. This role provides financial leadership, strategic planning, and operational support to the hospital’s management team, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to support patient care, service excellence, and long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the hospital’s Finance team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee daily financial operations including billing, collections, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare financial regulations, tax laws, and statutory reporting requirements.
- Monitor and manage hospital cash flow, operating costs, and capital expenditure to ensure financial sustainability.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational departments to develop cost control measures while maintaining quality of patient care.
- Analyse hospital performance metrics (e.g., revenue per patient, occupancy rates, departmental cost efficiency) to support data-driven decision-making.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, COO, Medical Director, and other senior management for strategic planning.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, insurance providers, and regulatory bodies related to hospital operations.
- Implement financial systems, controls, and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Support business development initiatives, such as evaluating new medical services, expansion projects, or partnerships.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferred.Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Healthcare Management will be an added advantage.Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive finance / accounting experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role.Proven track record in hospital, healthcare, or related industry finance management is mandatory.Strong experience in hospital billing systems, medical claims (insurance / TPA), and healthcare financing structures.Exposure to financial planning for hospital projects, capital expenditure (medical equipment, facilities), and cost management in healthcare operations.In-depth knowledge of hospital financial systems, healthcare billing processes, and patient revenue cycle management.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret hospital performance data and KPIs.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.Proficiency in financial / ERP systems and hospital information systems (HIS).Ability to balance financial prudence with the hospital’s commitment to patient care and service excellence.#J-18808-Ljbffr
