Head of Talent Acquisition, APAC @ VISTRA

We are seeking a People Advisor to join our team. This is a high‑impact role that will directly support four Executive Leaders and their business units in delivering people strategies that align with Vistra’s growth ambitions and cultural aspirations.

The People Advisor will act as a trusted advisor and key enabler to senior business leaders, at Executive Level. You will be instrumental in supporting the execution of the people strategy for the Corporate Functions — helping to translate priorities into actionable people initiatives and ensuring operational excellence in delivery. The ideal candidate is a service‑oriented professional who can operate at pace in a complex, matrixed, and geographically diverse environment, bringing a blend of commercial acumen, HR expertise, and exceptional relationship‑building skills to support leaders through change, growth, and transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support & Business Partnership : Partner with Executive Leaders / C‑Suite to understand business goals and provide tailored HR support that aligns with strategic priorities.
  • Act as a sounding board and advisor to senior leaders, offering insight and guidance on people‑related matters including talent, structure, culture, and performance.
  • Support the execution of organisational change initiatives, ensuring people impacts are well‑managed and aligned with business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the SVP, People and other HR leaders to ensure consistency and alignment of people practices across the organisation.
  • Talent & Capability Development : Support the implementation of talent management strategies, including succession planning, leadership development, and workforce capability building.
  • Support the execution of identification of talent initiatives to build future leadership bench strength.
  • Partner with business leaders to help assess current and future workforce needs, using data and insights to inform planning and decision‑making.
  • Organisational Effectiveness : Support organisational design and effectiveness initiatives, helping leaders optimise team structures, roles, and processes.
  • Conduct diagnostics to identify performance gaps and recommend practical solutions such as coaching, training, or process redesign.
  • Facilitate performance management processes that reinforce accountability, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Culture & Engagement : Champion Vistra’s values and culture, ensuring they are embedded in people practices and leadership behaviours.
  • Act as a culture carrier and role model, promoting inclusion, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and work with leaders to create a positive and productive work environment.
  • Operational Excellence : Ensure seamless coordination between business units, HR operations, and Centres of Excellence to deliver high‑quality HR services.
  • Monitor and analyse workforce trends, providing insights and recommendations to inform business and people decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes and improve service delivery across the function.

What We're Looking For

Experience & Expertise

  • Approximately 10 years of experience in senior HR roles, ideally within fast‑paced, global, and matrixed organisations.
  • Proven track record of supporting Executive Leaders / C‑Suite and delivering high touch HR solutions that drive business performance.
  • Strong understanding of organisational dynamics, talent management, and change management.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies and cultures, with a global mindset and sensitivity to local nuances.
